Small Business Quarterly explores the state of entrepreneurship in Canada

March 2, 2010 • Entrepreneurship, Research and data

The February 2010 edition of Industry Canada's Small Business Quarterly explores the state of entrepreneurship in Canada by comparing Canada and the United States using such measures as business birth and death rates, survival rates, and the presence of high-growth firms and gazelles.

It also presents findings from a recent survey on the presence of entrepreneurship education across Canadian universities and colleges.

Also included in this issue are articles on job creation, which provides the distribution of payroll employment by firm size and province; business establishment statistics; and recent trends in the accessibility of business financing.
